However, little is known about the dietary mechanisms that actually drive NCDs, and the tools used to collect dietary information are still inaccurate. There is also a lack of data among vulnerable groups, where NCDs are often over-represented. The EU-funded CoDiet project will address the knowledge gaps and develop a tool that will assess diet-induced NCD risk. Specifically, <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>it will develop an enhanced method of dietary assessment using AI technologies. <\/li><li>It will also develop a diet\u2013NCD monitoring tool that will enable change in NCDs in response to diet to be monitored at the population level. <\/li><li>The overall goal is to promote the uptake of an NCD-protective diet at a population level.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For more information, visit the project page <a href=\"https:\/\/www.codiet.eu\/\">here<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"panel panel-default pt-cv-content-item pt-cv-1-col\" >\r\n<div class=\"panel-heading\">\r\n    <a class=\"panel-title\" data-toggle=\"cvcollapse\" data-parent=\"#cfccc022nv\" data-target=\"#cfb0a60wf3\" href='http:\/\/rtds.aueb.gr\/index.php\/autofair-human-compatible-artificial-intelligence-with-guarantees\/' onclick='event.preventDefault()'>\r\n\t\tAutoFair: Human-Compatible Artificial Intelligence with Guarantees\t<\/a>\r\n\t<\/div>\r\n<div id=\"cfb0a60wf3\" class=\"panel-collapse collapse \">\r\n\t<div class=\"panel-body\">\r\n\t\t<a href=\"http:\/\/rtds.aueb.gr\/index.php\/autofair-human-compatible-artificial-intelligence-with-guarantees\/\" class=\"_self pt-cv-href-thumbnail pt-cv-thumb-default\" target=\"_self\" ><\/a>\n<div class=\"pt-cv-content\">\n<p>Human-compatible AI with guarantees, the Horizon Europe project (\u201cAutoFair\u201d), seeks to address needs for trusted AI and user-in-the-loop tools and systems in a range of industry applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/rtds.aueb.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/horizon_europe.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1120\" width=\"109\" height=\"110\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Artificial intelligence powers a growing number of systems today. This is why it\u2019s important to make sure the AI algorithms work correctly. In this context, the EU-funded AutoFair project will focus on the issue of fairness. Specifically, it will deal with the design of explainable and transparent AI algorithms. AutoFair aims to improve the algorithms themselves while educating end users. It draws on knowledge from computer and data sciences, control theory, optimisation and other scientific disciplines, including ethics and law.
